Skype is now available for Nokia smartphones via Ovi Store

Skype is certainly one of the most popular services on the Internet, and almost everyone uses regularly. Nokia has announced the launch of Skype for Symbian. This application is available for free now from the Ovi Store.

Inbrics M1 smartphone under Android

The Inbrics M1 smartphone is very thin (for a sliding design). In addition to its size, the features include a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display, a 3-megapixel camera, VGA camera on the front cover, a 800MHz processor, 16GB of integrated storage, microSD slot, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Although it runs under Android 1.5 for the moment, it should be updated to Android 2.0, by what happens on the market in March 2010. The price and availability are not known, probably because no operator has been confirmed.

LG GT450 smartphone under Android

You may have missed it, but LG has announced a new Android phone at CES – the LG GT450. It is called by LG as a “smartphone social networking specialist” and is intended primarily to provide a quick and easy access to social networking profiles. The GT450 smartphone will be launched worldwide in April 2010, but the price is not known. The GT450 specification include:

  • Android 2.0
  • 3 megapixel camera
  • MicroSD Slot
  • Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail and YouTube
  • Android Market

Overview of the BlackBerry 8910

It seems that RIM will release a successor to the Curve 8900. The image (from a leak) above certainly seems to indicate that. There is not much information on the smartphone, but it will probably run on BlackBerry OS 5.0. The BlackBerry 8910 also has Bluetooth SIG certification, then it is a kind of confirmation for the device, right? You wait impatiently for it, or have you ever been converted by Google’s Android?

Looks like the rumors about Apple products will not stop. Most rumors revolve around the future tablet or Apple iPhone 4G, and this time it is the iPhone 4G. The latest is that Apple could work on any touch sensitive case of the iPhone, similar to the case of the Apple Magic Mouse. This will certainly be an interesting innovation by Apple, if it’s true, but it will be problematic for cases, no?

Philips D908 smartphone released in China

Philips has launched its D908 smartphone in China. This smartphone runs under Windows Mobile 6.5, it also features a WVGA touchscreen 3.2-inch display, a compatibility with GSM and CDMA/EV-DO, Wi-Fi, a GPS function, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, 2GB of ROM and a microSD slot (maximum 32GB).

Here are the final specifications of the famous Google Nexus One.
The smartphone features a capacitive AMOLED 3.7-inch display (WVGA 854 × 480 pixels), a Snapdragon 1Ghz processor with 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera with x2 digital zoom and LED flash, a microSD slot (4GB memory card included) , Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, a compass, an accelerometer and runs on Android 2.1. Its dimensions are 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm for 130g. According to recent rumors, the smartphone would be available from January 5 in the world and distributed by Google, but only problem would require an invitation to get it!? To be continued.

New video for the LG eXpo smartphone

Here is a new video for the LG eXpo, the first smartphone from the Korean brand with a pico projector. This smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.5, offers a touchscreen 3.2-inch display, a full sliding keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1GHz, a microSDHC slot and therefore a removable pico projector that attaches to the back of the device. It goes on sale from December 7 at the AT&T operator in the U.S., for $199.99 with subscription and you will have to add $179.99 for the pico projector.
