Samsung has a brand new mobile phone for the Korean market, the Corby F, and it has a brand new stylish design, with a LED screen that shows up to 40 different icons on the flip. Looks like it is designed for the female population. There is also a DMB TV tuner, and a 3-megapixel camera.

Samsung has announced its line of rugged and stylish external hard drives at CES 2010. You can choose between three sizes: 1.8″, 2.5″ and 3.5″. The external hard drives should be rugged enough to survive to falls and also with spills over. The G2 portable offer capacities ranging from 250GB to 640GB, while the G3 station will offer capacities of 1 to 2TB. A very nice feature of the G3 is that it will extinguish itself when the computer is off and is not in use. Will this be your next portable hard drive?

We had all the details on the Samsung Corby POP, also known as the C3510. The mobile phone offers support for GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz, touchscreen display of 2.8 inches (262K, TFT, 320 × 240 pixels), a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, support for popular audio formats, a RDS integrated FM radio, support of Bluetooth 2.1, microSD slot and 30MB of internal memory. The price is not known yet.

In line with its Corby, Samsung has released the Lindy (M5650). It is a touchscreen phone mobile phone with a 2.8 QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels), a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, FM RDS tuner, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microSD slot. It is already marketed in Portugal for 149 euros without subscription.

At a price of $199 with a two-year contract with AT&T and after some rebates, plus extra for mobile TV, the Mythic mobile phone from Samsung isn’t cheap. It has a TFT LCD resistive touchscreen display of 3.3 inches, a 3.2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity. Price: $349 without contract.

The Samsung UN55B8000 is a 55-inch Full HD LED HDTV with a 240Hz refresh rate. This HDTV has digital (ATSC) and analog (NTSC) over-the-air, QAM cable, 240Hz anti-blur technology for clearer motion, LED backlight for high contrast and natural colors. Price: $2,399.

Samsung SNE-60K ebook reader

The first ebook reader from Samsung, the SNE-50K was correct, except it was only available in South Korea, and somewhat lame because of the lack of Wi-Fi. All this will change with an updated version, the SNE-60K, which will have Wi-Fi, and an international launch. The CES 2010 will be certainly where we will see it.

Samsung ST5500: new 14-megapixel digital camera with Wi-Fi

Here is the Samsung ST5500, a “Point & Shoot” digital camera with specifications rather interesting. Indeed, the Korean manufacturer is proposing a resolution of 14.2 megapixels, ISO sensitivity between 80 and 3200, a Schneider-Kreuznach lens with 7x optical zoom, an LCD touchscreen 3.5-inch display, HD 720p video mode at 30fps, but also 100 MB of internal memory (expandable via microSD cards), and Wi-Fi. No information available for the price and release date.

Samsung N140 netbook

The N140 from Samsung is a good netbook. At a price of 350 euros, it is a good deal both for the battery life and the quality and finishes. The netbook has a 10.1-inch display (resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels), an Intel Atom N270 processor at 1.6GHz, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 945, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi and runs under Windows 7 operating system.

Samsung CF and SD rugged memory cards

Samsung knows that some people have a way of life rather restless, so they have launched a new range of rugged memory cards in the United Kingdom. The CF plus and SD plus cards are airtight, able to stay 24 hours in submersion in seawater. Otherwise, they are resistant to shocks, and data are safe because they are indifferent to the magnets, such as these which found in the home cinema speakers. Samsung said that these rugged memory cards have a lifespan of 10 years. CF cards have a write speed of 45MBps, and 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities. The price is not known.
