Philips D908 smartphone released in China

Philips has launched its D908 smartphone in China. This smartphone runs under Windows Mobile 6.5, it also features a WVGA touchscreen 3.2-inch display, a compatibility with GSM and CDMA/EV-DO, Wi-Fi, a GPS function, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, 2GB of ROM and a microSD slot (maximum 32GB).

Philips releases LED Pro Ambilight HDTV Line

Philips has unveiled 2 new models in its interesting LED HDTV line, with the name of 40PFL9704, and 46PFL9704. These HDTVs have the LED Pro, the LED backlight technology for the next generation of Philips. You will also get a mesh contrast ratio, a refresh rate of 200Hz and it should consume 50% less power compared to your standard LCD HDTV. There are also 5 HDMI ports on this HDTV, and you’ll also have NetTV online service from Philips. Price: they cost respectively £1,799 and £2,499 when they will be launched in December.

Philips V808 smartphone unveiled

Finally, Philips has made official the V808 smartphone. So, it now has its specifications: it will have Android, a HVGA touch screen of 3.2″, a 3.2-megapixel sensor, a GPS, a microSD port and will support widgets. You’ll notice that the mobile phone is currently reserved for the Chinese market.

Philips Brilliance 225P1ES 22-inch LCD display

Philips has just completed its range of LCD displays with a new model of large size, the Brilliance 225P1ES which has the Powersensor energy saving technology. On a support for height adjustment, rotation and pivot to improve ease of use, this LCD monitor displays a diagonal of 22 inches to 16.7 million colors and a resolution of up to 1680 x 1050 pixels.

The response time, brightness level and contrast ratio are shown at 5 milliseconds, 250 candelas per second and 1 000: 1, while viewing angles horizontally and vertically reach 176 and 170 degrees.

At the last connection, there is a DVI and a VGA video signal to a 3.5 mm input for the audio system power 2 x 1.5 Watt built and a USB input to power the USB port housed on the left side. Price: €229 euros.

Discover the bes mobile phones of the week which have been selected by the editors.

For the newly selected mobile phones, have been selected the Samsung W880, the LG GD510 Pop and the Philips Xenium K700.

With the W880, Samsung has released the heavy artillery: large touchscreen, digital camera very large size, huge storage capacity and digital television. Too bad it is deprived of Wi-Fi and GPS. There is also a little perplexed by the capacity of the battery supplied. For if we do not know the independence it brings, the manufacturer has not communicated on this subject, 1100 mAh seem a bit just to power the mobile phone.

For its part, the LG GD510 Pop has a great touch interface, an internal memory of 8 GB and a solar panel. Too bad that there are not the 3G and Wi-Fi.

With the Philips Xenium K700, we appreciate the look neat and compact, the large touch screen and good standby time announced. But again, no Wi-Fi or 3G. Besides the internal memory of a few tens of megabytes for a music-oriented mobile phone …

Philips will unveil in a few days its new mobile phone (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz), the Xenium K700. The latter has over the design of a PMP than a mobile phone with a touch screen of 2.8″ (400 x 240 pixels), Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, a tuner FM RDS, a 3.5 mm jack, a 1000mA battery, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a microSDHC slot. It provides compatibility with RMBV, AVI, FLV, Divx, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, APE and an standby time of 4 hours in video, 25 hours in music, 8.5 hours in communication, 1 month on standby. Its dimensions are 101 x 52 x 13 mm 97g. No price announced.
