webOS 1.3.1 available in Europe

Palm has just released the version 1.3.1 of its webOS destined for Europe. The program for this new version: the introduction of a Facebook application and a slight improve for the interface and virtual keyboard.

If you have the Palm Pre and want to upgrade, remember to do it via Wi-Fi to avoid crashes.

Do you know the concept of “total cost of ownership” which provides a global view of the cost of owning a product (eg a TCO vehicle includes annual maintenance)? Here is a comparison, valid for the U.S. market (and therefore with the U.S. phone operators), new generations of smartphones: Apple iPhone 3GS, Palm Pre, HTC MyTouch 3G and Motorola Droid.

Well with a good table formatted we can quickly understand (well for me). The iPhone 3GS is the smartphone with the higher cost of ownership (like the Motorola). The HTC MyTouch 3G is in my opinion the winner …

Palm Pixi smartphone arrives at Sprint

If you expect the Palm Pixi smartphone forward, it will arrive at November 15th on the Sprint network. It costs a price of $99.99 with a 2 year commitment. This will be the second Palm webOS smartphone on the market, which includes the linked contacts, calendars with layers, messages and combined information from Google, Facebook, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and LinkedIn. Do not let the relatively small size of the screen to discourage you to have one.
