ASUS Eee PC 1201PN netbook at CeBIT

Asus launched the Eee PC 1201PN netbook. It runs with an Intel Atom N450 processor, ION GPU from NVIDIA, a 12.1-inch WXVGA LED backlit display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, an HDMI port and a rechargeable Li-Ion 6-cell battery. The price and availability are not known, but we can see the design is like the MacBook Air.

MSI Wind U135 netbook is available worldwide

MSI announced the worldwide availability of the MSI Wind U135. The netbook will be priced from $309.99 (I seemed to see the basic version at $316.99 on Amazon…). The Intel N450 processor of the netbook consumes only 7 Watts and MSI expects that the battery life is increased by 15% compared to previous models. For the performance, they announced a 10% improvement, but it really depends on what you do. To help users to manage battery life, MSI has included a utility that allows you to select multiple “modes”: Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Document and Turbo. Specifications include:

  • Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz processor
  • 10-inch display (1024 x 600 pixels), Intel GMA3150 graphics card
  • Hard drive from 160 to 250GB
  • Wi-Fi n
  • Battery of 3 and 6 cells
  • Weight between 1.1 and 1.2kg depending on battery

HCL launched ME 06 netbook

HCL in India, has launched another netbook on the market, the ME 06. It has everything of a standard netbook, Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, a display of 10.1 inches (1024 x 600 pixels), 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home Edition. Interestingly, it includes 3G connectivity and a SIM slot. This means that you don’t rely entirely on the Wi-Fi network in India. The HCL ME 06 netbook costs a price of about $465.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 and S10-3t netbooks under Pine Trail

Lenovo is a little late on the Intel Atom Pine Trail party, as its main competitors have already announced that their next netbooks would be under Atom N450. The Chinese company begins at Pine Trail, with the new IdeaPad S10-3 and S10-3t, and the latter would have a touchscreen display that can be rotated (tablet). You will have full size keyboards on both netbooks, and Windows 7. The 3G and GPS are optional.

New HS-105 netbook from Averatec ready for Christmas

Averatec has just introduced a new netbook, the HS-105 Xmas Edition. Then this little laptop is powered by the usual Intel Atom N270 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB RAM, an Intel 945GSE with an LCD display of 10.1 inches and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels (LED backlight), 160GB or 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and a 1.3-megapixel webcam.

ASUS Eee PC 1001P netbook unveiled

ASUS has unveiled a new netbook, the Eee PC 1001P. It is powered by a Intel Atom N450 processor clocked at 1.66GHz. The netbook features a 10-inch LCD display and a 160GB hard drive. No more info about this upcoming netbook. It seems that the Eee PC 1001P netbook will have fewer wireless options than other netbooks, a lower capacity battery, a different lid design, or some other distinguishing specifications. MSI Wind U160 netbook will be at CES 2010

MSI will unveil another netbook at CES 2010 next month, the Wind U160, which will be powered by the latest Intel Pine Trail 1.66GHz. Including the usual specifications, such as a 10.1-inch display, a Chiclet keyboard, a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM, the U160 is a device to see because it has a touchpad that is virtually invisible, which is only defined by a grid of raised dots. MSI says that the U160 has a battery life of 10 hours, but we are skeptical, because many factors come into account. According to rumors, the MSI Wind U160 will cost a price starting at $350.

HP Mini 210 netbook under Pine Trail

First Dell, then MSI and now HP has released netbooks under the Intel Pine Trail platform, with the new Intel Atom N450 processor clocked at 1.66GHz. The HP Mini 210 has an 10.1-inch LCD display behind the glass panel, a webcam and microphone, and runs on Windows 7 Starter OS. As usual, you’ll find 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive, but if you pay more, you can have up to 250GB. Depending on the configuration, the HP Mini 210 netbook under Pine Trail is priced between $322 and $400.

New Fujitsu MH380 netbook with Pine Trail

The Fujitsu MH380 is a new 10.1-inch netbook (1366 × 768 pixels) which should make its appearance at CES. The netbook runs on the new Pine Trail platforml with an Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a dual trackpad and 6-cell battery. No price was announced.

At CES, MSI will introduce several new netbooks under the Pine Trail platform of Intel, of which the MSI Wind U135. It features a 10-inch display (resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels) with a storage space of 250GB, Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 2.0, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a SDHC memory card reader, all this powered by an Intel Atom N450 processor with 1GB of RAM and Windows 7 Starter OS. The Wind U135 netbook from MSI would be priced at £275 in 4 colors (silver, black, blue and red).
