MSI Wind U135 netbook is available worldwide

MSI announced the worldwide availability of the MSI Wind U135. The netbook will be priced from $309.99 (I seemed to see the basic version at $316.99 on Amazon…). The Intel N450 processor of the netbook consumes only 7 Watts and MSI expects that the battery life is increased by 15% compared to previous models. For the performance, they announced a 10% improvement, but it really depends on what you do. To help users to manage battery life, MSI has included a utility that allows you to select multiple “modes”: Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Document and Turbo. Specifications include:

  • Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz processor
  • 10-inch display (1024 x 600 pixels), Intel GMA3150 graphics card
  • Hard drive from 160 to 250GB
  • Wi-Fi n
  • Battery of 3 and 6 cells
  • Weight between 1.1 and 1.2kg depending on battery

3D all-in-one PC from MSI at CES

MSI has unveiled the first 3D all-in-one PC in the world with 3D glasses. With it, users can enjoy 3D gaming, HD movies and will be connected to wireless 3D glasses. One of the nice features is that it can store the wireless keyboard behind the sliding screen, which save space on the desk. The wireless mouse can also function as an IP phone, or even a remote control. Not bad, eh? It seems that 3D technology will become common in 2010, which is certainly good news.

Tired of taking your laptop and your projector for all your presentations? The Projector PC of MSI might interest you. If the name has not revealed it, it is a projector that can display an image up to 60 inches, but it includes a fully functional PC inside. There has only to connect a keyboard and mouse, and voila. In terms of specifications of the PC, Projector PC features an Intel Atom processor, Nvidia ION, HDMI, LAN, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 3.5mm audio jack and can even read HD video. The Projector PC is still a concept, but MSI hopes to launch it this year. The price is not known.

MSI Wind U160 netbook will be at CES 2010

MSI will unveil another netbook at CES 2010 next month, the Wind U160, which will be powered by the latest Intel Pine Trail 1.66GHz. Including the usual specifications, such as a 10.1-inch display, a Chiclet keyboard, a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM, the U160 is a device to see because it has a touchpad that is virtually invisible, which is only defined by a grid of raised dots. MSI says that the U160 has a battery life of 10 hours, but we are skeptical, because many factors come into account. According to rumors, the MSI Wind U160 will cost a price starting at $350.

At CES, MSI will introduce several new netbooks under the Pine Trail platform of Intel, of which the MSI Wind U135. It features a 10-inch display (resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels) with a storage space of 250GB, Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 2.0, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a SDHC memory card reader, all this powered by an Intel Atom N450 processor with 1GB of RAM and Windows 7 Starter OS. The Wind U135 netbook from MSI would be priced at £275 in 4 colors (silver, black, blue and red).

MSI has launched the X-Slim X600 Pro 15.6-inch laptop. It is ultra-slim, works with the Intel CULV platform accompanied by a high performance Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It will run under Windows 7. You will have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics card with 512MB of VRAM. The laptop has a thickness of 2.5cm, weighs about 2kg with a 6-cell battery. Outside there is a luminous scratch-resistant coating with silver accents.

MSI Wind Top AE2020 all-in-one PC

MSI has released a new all-in-one desktop PC in the UK, the Wind Top AE2020. This all-in-one desktop has a 20-inch multitouch display (1600 x 900 pixels), a Pentium T4300 dual-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz, a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics card, 3GB of RAM, 320GB of hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD burner, a 6-in-1 memory card reader, two speakers of 3W, Wi-Fi connectivity, Ethernet, an HDMI port, 6 USB ports and it runs under Windows 7. Price: available in the UK for £599 ($973).

MSI releases the R5970-PM2D2G graphics card in Japan

Besides its R5770-PM2D1G V2, MSI took the opportunity to announce the release of its R5970-PM2D2G graphics card at 40nm.
This new GPU features 3200 stream processors, 2GB of GDDR5 memory, a graphics chip clocked at 725MHz, a Mini DisplayPort, and two DVI-D ports (HDCP).
MSI announces a price of 75,800 yen, or €853.

MSI announces the R5770-PM2D1G V2 graphics card in Japan

Unveiled two weeks ago, MSI has also announced for the Japanese market the arrival of the new version of its Radeon HD 5770.
The V2, which measures 209 × 111 × 38 mm, has a graphic chipset at 850MHz, with 1GB of GDDR5 memory at 2400MHz, as well as DVI (x2), HDMI and DisplayPort….
This graphics card supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 3.2, OpenCL API, and can handle DVDs, Blu-ray.
Available today at a price of 21,480 yen or about $240.
