Pac-Man Championship Edition is a game originally developed for the XBox Live, and it was a success due to the success of the original legend.
The mobile game is now available on the iPhone of Apple, but not for the Zune. I don’t understand why they chose the widescreen format for the mobile game when the original Pac-Man had a screen that was taller than it was wide.
Gameloft has announced they will cut significantly the investments for the Android platform, probably because it seems to them less lucrative than the App Store of Apple yet. Surprisingly, Gameloft has released a statement saying they will support the 2nd generation of Android smartphones. They speak clearly of smartphones like the Motorola Droid (Milestone) and the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. Whatever their reasons, we are happy that they work again for the Android platform.
Gameloft is famous for its mobile games, but they just said they will reduce the development of Android mobile games due to a possible lack of income from a slow adoption of the platform. According to the CFO of Gameloft, Alexandre de Rochefort, they have significantly cut the investment on the Android platform, as many others… This is not done as well as on the iPhone. Google has not been very good to encourage customers to buy their products. On Android, nobody earns significant revenues. Is this a hard blow for Android, because we know that games are selling the hardware.
