LG has just released its latest Pastel mobile phone in South Korea and is known as the LG SU410. You can choose between pink and white colors, this mobile phone has a relatively simple LCD 2.8-inch display, a DMB tuner and a microSD slot that can hold up to 16GB of storage space. The Japanese will also have it via DoCoMo, and is known as L-02B in this region.
Available in two versions, with either an Intel Core i7-720QM at 1.60Ghz with or an Intel Core i7 820QM at 1.73GHz, the new m-Book MB-T900 Series laptop PC is a 15.6-inch notebook with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive (5400 or 7200rpm), DVD SuperMulti drive, or Blu-Ray drive with DVD burner, a Nvidia GeForce GT240M graphics card with 1GB of VRAM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
A nice little notebook that offers a battery life of 2.3 hours, for a total of 2.6kg, and will be available in Japan with a price ranging between 119,000 and 150,000 yen (€885 and €1,115).
NTT DoCoMo has launched from December 3, 2009, the white version of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone in Japan. The smartphone has a 65,536-color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a QWERTY keyboard and a 2-megapixel camera.
PC Koubou Japan has released two new BTO (Build to order) desktops on their website. The MT770aA2X4 TYPE-SR-BDE desktop PC has an AMD Athlon II X4 620 processor at 2.60GHz with 1TB of hard drive. The MT770aA2X2-BDE has an AMD Athlon II X2 240 processor at 2.9GHz with 500GB of hard drive. These two desktops feature 2GB of RAM, an AMD 790GX chipset, an HDMI output, six USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a PCI Express slot, and a Blu-ray drive. You can also upgrade if you want the PC-Koubou MT770aA2X4 TYPE-SR-BDE desktop PC with a 4GB of RAM for free until December 14, 2009. The desktops are priced respectively at 69,980 Yen (or $787) and 59,980 Yen (or $675).
Besides its R5770-PM2D1G V2, MSI took the opportunity to announce the release of its R5970-PM2D2G graphics card at 40nm.
This new GPU features 3200 stream processors, 2GB of GDDR5 memory, a graphics chip clocked at 725MHz, a Mini DisplayPort, and two DVI-D ports (HDCP).
MSI announces a price of 75,800 yen, or €853.
Unveiled two weeks ago, MSI has also announced for the Japanese market the arrival of the new version of its Radeon HD 5770.
The V2, which measures 209 × 111 × 38 mm, has a graphic chipset at 850MHz, with 1GB of GDDR5 memory at 2400MHz, as well as DVI (x2), HDMI and DisplayPort….
This graphics card supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 3.2, OpenCL API, and can handle DVDs, Blu-ray.
Available today at a price of 21,480 yen or about $240.
This winter, Sony offers a Snowflake version of DSC-TX1 compact digital camera. The special edition will be available in Silver, Black and Rose. You will not pay more for the engraving, but Sony will offer it only for the festive season. I like the silver version, but I don’t live in Japan…
If you don’t know the DSC-TX1 (price: $329), it is a 10.2 megapixel compact digital camera that has a 4X optical zoom and a Carl Zeiss lens. At the back there is a large 3-inch LCD display. There’s a ton of features, but some are cool: 10fps burst mode, low light capabilities (for a compact digital camera) and 185 degrees panorama.
The Gateway One ZX 4800-41 is the latest all-in-one desktop PC from Acer proposed in Japan. Like the latest Asus Eee Top PC ET2002T, Gateway shipped an LCD multitouch 20-inch screen with a resolution of 1600×900 pixels. For the rest, it has an Intel Celeron T3000 processor, Intel GL40 Express mobile chipset, Intel GMA4500M graphics card, 4GB of RAM, 750GB SATA hard drive, a DVD drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 6 USB ports and a memory card reader.
It will be available from November 27, at a price around 100,000 yen or €755.
Asus has announced the release date on the Japanese market for its latest all-in-one desktop, the Eee Top ET2002T. According to the press release this desktop PC with touch screen will be marketed from next week (November 28) at a price of 79,800 yen (€600).
This all-in-one PC has a LCD touchscreen display of 20″ with a resolution of 1600×900 pixels, an Intel Atom 330 (1.6GHz), Nvidia Ion chipset, 2GB of memory, 320GB of hard drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet, a memory card reader, an HDMI input, a webcam and runs under Windows 7 Home Premium.
NTT announced in Japan, the Hikari iFrame, a new MID under Android that will be available in early 2010. The MID offers a resistive touch screen of 7″, Wi-Fi, a microSD slot, all for a price around 200 euros. Stay tuned.
