Overview of the Fujitsu FLEPia at CES

We saw the Fujitsu FLEPia at CES a few days ago, and unfortunately for those who live in the US, it will not go there, although it is already available in Japan. First impressions are very promising, and it runs on Windows CE and includes a frame rate relatively fast compared to its potential rivals, the Amazon Kindle and the Nook. The touchscreen 8-inch display passive matrix can support up to 4096K colors, and despite the fact that it has no backlight, the images are quite surprising because it was specially designed to reflect ambient light, black, red, green and blue. According to Fujitsu, the FLEPia will have a battery life up to 40 hours. Other features include: USB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an SD slot. It was released in Japan in April 2009, for a price around $1,000 after conversion.

New Fujitsu MH380 netbook with Pine Trail

The Fujitsu MH380 is a new 10.1-inch netbook (1366 × 768 pixels) which should make its appearance at CES. The netbook runs on the new Pine Trail platforml with an Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a dual trackpad and 6-cell battery. No price was announced.

New Fujitsu LifeBook UH900 UMPC

Fujitsu has unveiled the LifeBook UH900, a UMPC with a touchscreen 5.6-inch display (1280 × 800 pixels), a full keyboard, an Intel Atom Z530 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB of DDR2-533 RAM, a Intel US15W GMA500 graphics chip, 64GB of SSD, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 3.5G (optional), a SD slot, two USB ports and a webcam, all under Windows 7 Home Premium. Its dimensions are 20.4 x 10.65 x 2.38cm.

Fujitsu Esprimo P1500 desktop PC

The Fujitsu Esprimo P1500 is a bottom of the range desktop PC fairly well equipped which loads everything it takes to make the desktop, Internet or video games in its most powerful flavors. The basic model at 499 euros embeds a dual core Intel Pentium E5300 processor at 2.6 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, a hard drive of 1TB and Windows 7 Home Premium. Its large storage space will allow it to store many photos and videos, the P1500 desktop PC with a memory card reader that supports no less than twenty formats of different memory cards. The desktop PC can accommodate many devices as it has eight USB ports (two internal and two in front). Of course, at this price, it has only a double layer DVD burner and no dedicated graphics card. Price: €499.

The Fujitsu Siemens Xi 3650 laptop computer has something to shake whith its direct competitors Sony and HP. The laptop computer shows very good results of calculations and offers a premium general ergonomics well thought out. The main disadvantage of this laptop is its very limited mobility and bad sound. Fujitsu Amilo Pi 3560 and 3660 laptops

The Fujitsu Amilo Pi 3560 and 3660 laptops are high performance notebooks, which purpose is to offer you the best multimedia experience possible. Both models have the high performance graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 240M GT with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a widescreen 16:9 BrilliantView and a keyboard that resists to spills. The Amilo 3660 has a 18.4-inch widescreen, and with the 3660, you can choose between two sizes – 15.6-inch or 16-inch. The prices and availability are not known.

Fujitsu LifeBook T4410 and T4310 multi-touch tablet PCs

Fujitsu presented two LifeBook multi-touch tablet PCs: the Fujitsu LifeBook T4410 and T4310. The first includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.80GHz, 6MB L2 Cache and 1066 MHz, and the 2nd runs an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache and 800 MHz.

They have a modular bay for more flexibility to add a 2nd hard drive, a 2nd battery, or a DVD burner.

Both offer a 500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD, webcam of 2 megapixels, TFT WXGA 12.1-inch display with Dual Digitizer (1280 x 800 pixels), stereo speakers, and Windows 7. The security of these laptops has been increased: BIOS Lock, lock of the hard drive with password, LifeBook Lock, Anti-theft lock, and fingerprint reader.

Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 Convertible Tablet PC

The new Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 convertible tablet PC 13″ offers a level of interaction, supporting multi-touch, thanks to new dual digitizer that provides the touch panel. In switching easily between stylus and touch screen, users of safety products can change activity easily from casual surfing to editing or writing.

The LifeBook T5010 convertible tablet PC is the first of the new LifeBook range to take advantage of the advanced capabilities of the upcoming Microsoft Windows 7.

Prices start at $1759, with an active digitizer, and $1859 for a dual digitizer.
