It seems that RIM will release a successor to the Curve 8900. The image (from a leak) above certainly seems to indicate that. There is not much information on the smartphone, but it will probably run on BlackBerry OS 5.0. The BlackBerry 8910 also has Bluetooth SIG certification, then it is a kind of confirmation for the device, right? You wait impatiently for it, or have you ever been converted by Google’s Android?

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone is available for a price of just $49.99 at Sprint, with a contract and with a $100 mail-in rebate. For the specifications, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone has a display of 2.46 inches, a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, a trackpad, integrated GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 2-megapixel camera. You will also have access to BlackBerry App World, and some social networks like Facebook and MySpace.

People who use BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 will be pleased to learn that the software had its first update of a size of 2.5 MB, and the name of BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.0.55. At first glance it seems that there is no new functionality, but it should have been optimized, which should improve the performance of the app. Users who have installed the update can enjoy previews of images and menus reorganized more logically.

How to update your BlackBerry OS

language_deleteIt’s really important to keep your BlackBerry OS up to date to have the latest improvements and features that are provided with the latest versions. Here’s how to update your BlackBerry OS.

  • First, navigate to the BlackBerryForums.com website
  • Then choose your carrier.
  • Choose your BlackBerry smartphone. You can click the link “What does it include” for T-Mobile to view the update improvements. For Verizon Wireless, you will be informed of the latest update, but you can’t know what’s included with the update.
  • Download the software from the carrier and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the install file.
  • Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer via USB. BlackBerry Desktop Manager will inform you that Application Updates are Available.
  • Click Update Now.
  • Finally select only the components you want to update/install. If you don’t use applications like AIM or you don’t need Spanish language support, you can deselect these options to save space.

BlackBerry smartphones arrive in China

Since Apple entered the mobile phone market in China with the iPhone, RIM certainly will not bear that one of its rivals are leading the race, and therefore it will enter China with its range of BlackBerry smartphones. It will be in partnership with the IT service provider based in Beijing, Digital China, which is the largest in the country. The first customized BlackBerry smartphone will be released early next year.

White BlackBerry Bold released in Japan

NTT DoCoMo has launched from December 3, 2009, the white version of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone in Japan. The smartphone has a 65,536-color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a QWERTY keyboard and a 2-megapixel camera.

Adobe Flash on BlackBerry

Among the first announcements made at the conference, those of Adobe created the event. Indeed Java is no longer the only platform for the implementation of BlackBerry applications. An agreement between RIM and Adobe includes the development of a Flash client for the famous smartphone of RIM.
