How to add a site in search engines

Posted in: Search Engine Optimization — November 4th, 2009

It’s a question that everyone is asking …
The principle is the same but the operation is sometimes different for different search engines!
Here are some of them, but in a non-exhaustive list which asks only to be completed …

search-engine-optimization

Google

The submission is totally free, but requires some time, quite variable depending on the period

Yahoo

The submission is free for a url or a feed
For webmaster accounts it is also possible to open one.

MSN

The submission is also free time depending on the server, but since the arrival of “Bing” the link is redirected to the
new search engine

Bing

The submission is totally free, but requires some time
Account for “webmasters”, a Windows Live ID is required

Exalead

Submission is also free, and fast

Alltheweb

Free submission (but you need to have an account with Yahoo!)

Note

This is a list that may never end … let us not forget that the list is very long, but especially so when you use these links, know that their crawlers will eventually come to see your site (this which implies wisdom and patience!), so in principle the homepage, and for other pages it will be more than patient … for their convenience, put links to a sitemap that will take all your pages.
Good luck and good SEO.
