At CEATEC 2009, this Vocaloid robot has been presented to Sekai Camera stand. These designers have worked hard to make the skin, facial expressions and lip sync, regardless of the lyrics. For now, the head is the only body part that moves, and it is still very “plastic”, but it’s always something cool to watch. They should work with Honda to put the head on Asimo – then it would be weird. All the intelligence of the lip sync is performed on a remote server, then returned to the robot for execution. Apparently, the piano near the robot was runned by the same application. It is part of the tech demo “Play iT” by Yamaha.
