2010 is the year of the tablet, with the launch of the iPad, but the last luxury toy of Apple has nothing in common with the new Panasonic ToughBook C1, the “lightest 12.1″ convertible tablet PC in the world”, which will provide good performance in all situations: in your couch, in inclement weather and extreme environments. Panasonic has launched the ToughBook H1 Field tablet at MWC, and the C1 is presented in the HIMSS conference (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), because the ToughBook C1 is primarily designed for the healthcare market.

Nokia C5 mobile phone

Nokia has officially launched its C5 mobile phone, which is designed for social networking and sharing. As the social network is one of the features of this mobile phone, you can access sites such as Facebook and MySpace quickly and easily, and stay connected through instant messaging and email via Ovi Mail. Other features of the C5 include free GPS navigation maps through Ovi, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 2GB memory card (included), and access to other Ovi services such as Ovi Music and Ovi Store. The Nokia C5 should be available in selected markets in Q2 2010 for an estimated price of 135 euros ($182). Here are the specifications of the mobile phone:

Marvel is in partnership with RTC23, and they released what they call the ultimate TV for fans of Marvel. They exist in 22″, 32″, 42″ and 55″ LCD versions as well as LED 40″ and 46″ HDTVs, you will find Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Wolverine, Thor and other characters at the two bottom corners of the TV. In addition, when you turn on the TV, they appear as a theme splash for 8 seconds before you can watch your show. Nothing very useful, but at least it will make children (and young at heart) happy.

MSI Wind U135 netbook is available worldwide

MSI announced the worldwide availability of the MSI Wind U135. The netbook will be priced from $309.99 (I seemed to see the basic version at $316.99 on Amazon…). The Intel N450 processor of the netbook consumes only 7 Watts and MSI expects that the battery life is increased by 15% compared to previous models. For the performance, they announced a 10% improvement, but it really depends on what you do. To help users to manage battery life, MSI has included a utility that allows you to select multiple “modes”: Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Document and Turbo. Specifications include:

Well, Apple has finally unveiled its iPad. What can we learn? Well, first of all the tablet comes with Safari, Mail, Photos, YouTube and YouTube HD, Maps, Notes, Calendar, Contacts, Spotlight and iPods, iTunes (which interface has specially been revised) and the App Store (almost like the iPhone…).
