The Acer released its first Android smartphone, the Liquid A1, in the UK market. The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Triband (900/1900/2100) HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 5-megapixel camera. Acer has underclocked the smartphone to 768MHz in order to prolong the battery life. The Liquid A1 smartphone is currently in stock at Expansys and Clove, at a price of £339.99 (or $556) and £328.99 (or $538), respectively.
