Opera Software has released the beta version of its Opera Mobile 10 browser for Windows Mobile phones. This new version sees itself with a new cleaner interface stripped designed to provide a similarity with the desktop version while approaching the famous Opera Mini (the browser for mobile phones, not smartphones), in the version 5 in beta too.
Opera Mobile 10 offers tabbed browsing, password management, optimized for touch screens, faster browsing, adaptive zoom, management of history, cookies, cache for better control of privacy, etc.
Opera Mobile also includes the Turbo feature that compresses web pages (through the Opera servers) to 70% by volume for a faster browsing, according to the publisher. It also offers the ability to save pages to visit them later offline.
Until now, the mobile browser was available only on Symbian platform. By expanding its market to Windows, the Norwegian publisher hopes to continue to occupy the ground by taking advantage of the weaknesses of Internet Explorer, despite the progress of the Windows Mobile 6.5, and waiting to confront Firefox Mobile (Fennec) which release should no longer delay.
