When you think about it, the keys are archaic objects. Now, thanks to technology, there is the new Viper StartSmart allowing you to control your car from your iPhone. You can not drive your car, but you can do the following:
- Lock
- Unlock
- Start the car remotely
- Open the trunk
- Panic or car finder
You can perform all these functions from your iPhone or iPod Touch, as you have a data connection or Wi-Fi. The application is free, but you will need the Viper SmartStart hardware in your car. The StartSmart kit costs a price of $499 and you will pay $29.99 per year for this service (the first year is free). Uh … finally, the key is not bad at all.
