Acer shows a netbook under Android

Posted in: Laptops — October 14th, 2009

Acer has installed Android on its Aspire One D250 netbook, a laptop that has been out for months. Since Android, it is also possible to start Windows 7 through a “switch OS” function. Strangely, there is no direct way to start Windows 7, although that Acer says that starting Android is “instant” (no trick Linux does not start “instantly” because it takes 30 seconds to 1 minute). It shows how Acer positioned Android against Splashtop, another Quickboot application against that Android would be upset because it would have more apps.
