Convert the video in MP4 format

PSP Video Converter and PSP Video 9 softwares can convert almost any format to MP4, to be compatible with PSP. Download one of the software and follow the steps to convert your source file to MP4.

Insert the video in the PSP

Create a MP_ROOT directory

It is necessary to create this directory that will host then your videos.

  • On the console, create the MP_ROOT directory at the root, at the same level as the PSP directory.
  • Create a subdirectory named 100MNV01.

Place the files in the PSP

Finally, drop the MP4 file in that directory by renaming them as follows: M4V00001, then M4V00002, etc.

Attention renaming of files is very important! Poor renaming might overwrite your previous files.
