Here’s how to change weapon skins for CS 1.6. The skins of guns are replicas of the basic weapons but several aspects of change: size, form, color, sound.
Download skins
First of all you need to download skins for your weapons.
The best sites for this are:

Insert skins
Once the winrar archive containing your skin is downloaded, then right-click on it: extract the files.
A new folder is created with the name of your skin. Open it, then open the folder that contains it.
There is now a file “models” or directly .MDL files
Copy the .MDL file in the directory C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Your nickname or email\Counter Strike\Cstrike_english\Models\
If the archive that contains the skin, there is a folder “sound” or audio files, copy these files into the directory C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Your nickname or email\Counter Strike\Cstrike_english\Sound\
Your skins are ready, you can play with.
