Sony has released its updated firmware 3.0 for the PS3. The new version brings significant changes to the user interface to allow downloads of the PlayStation Store, and be familiar with the “What’s New”.
Other notable additions are animated backgrounds with matching avatars, a status bar at the top right now shows the new messages and online friends, and new features for trophies. Europeans should now access the video service from Sony.
The update is free and should work with the two former models, and the slim version of 120GB.
