January 16th, 2010 | Posted in Apple, Softwares | No Comments »

Officially, there is no Flash for the iPhone, but there may be a way to have it, thanks to clever developers. The Gordon open source project provided a JavaScript Flash runtime, allowing you to load and view Flash files (.swf), even on the Safari Mobile browser of the iPhone. It is still a “preliminary” build and there are still many things to solve, but it’s a good start.

Apple tablet demo coming in January

December 23rd, 2009 | Posted in Apple, Tablet PCs | 1 Comment »

Silicon Alley Insider is a source introduced in the industry of mobile phones that Apple will demonstrate its tablet in January and asked a number of developers to prepare iPhone apps in high resolution.

The first possibility, that would end the endless bits of information that filter for months would be a public demo. Events devoted to Apple iPod and iPhone have been dominated by apps since the opening of the App Store. If Apple launches its tablet, they will need to show the apps available for the new device.

The second possibility, more likely, is that of a demo behind closed doors: the kind of private event that allows developers to get a head start before the public announcement, and the time to reinforce the interoperability between the iPhone and the new tablet.

The source of Silicon Alley Insider says that the device will not be available for sale immediately, coinciding with the release in March announced by the Wall Street Journal.

Double the battery life of your iPhone 3G / 3GS with Power Pack

December 21st, 2009 | Posted in Apple, Mobile Phones | 1 Comment »

If there is one criticism that can be done to the iPhone, it is its battery life. I acknowledge that I use my smartphone intensively but what’s worse than falling out of power in the middle of the afternoon (and often when we need it the most). So here is the Power Pack: a case compatible with  iPhone 3G / 3GS equipped with an additional battery of 1,900 mAh.

Let’s be honest… Those who purchased an iPhone just for its design will certainly find it difficult to resolve this by putting it into the Power Pack. If the object is light (66.5 grams only), but it is a little thick (113 mm) and removed much of its charm to the smartphone. Price: €39.

How to use the Magic Mouse of Apple on a PC under Windows

December 17th, 2009 | Posted in Apple, Peripherals, Tips and Tricks | 1 Comment »

The Magic Mouse of Apple is definitely a very beautiful object. The manufacturer offers indeed a multitouch mouse with a design more than successful. With a smooth surface not revealing buttons or scroll wheel, this pointing device is more like a UFO than a mouse… But while the Magic Mouse was normally only reserved for the Mac, now drivers (unofficial) are available to run the mouse on PCs with Windows…
